Avoiding the ear

Ethan did not get much sleep last night. It all started Saturday evening....Ethan got this idea that he wanted to go eat pizza and play games. He insisted we go Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. to Mr. Gattis. After about an hour of insistance, he finally gave up for the night even after putting on his shoes and being ready to go by himself. Ross was at work so I told Ethan he could ask daddy when he got home. Well Ethan fell asleep so he didn't ask daddy that night. Now it's Sunday morning and Ethan gets up and comes in to get daddy. The first thing he says is that he wants to watch cartoons and the second thing is that he HAD to go eat pizza and play games. I was for sure he would have forgot that but of course when a little one wants to do something they put their minds to it and they don't forget. So daddy says yes because we all know Ross is not going to pass up the chance to PLAY GAMES! We head for Mr. Gattis after church and we eat pizza and play lots of games! We had a blast! We finally make it home, minding you that Ethan hasn't taken a nap, and he starts to complain about his ear hurting. He kept saying his ear hurt so bad that it was making him cry...he was in tears for hours. His ear had to hurt because he's not one to complain about being sick or anything hurting. So we finally got him to fall asleep because he was sooooooooo tired, he had a hard time falling asleep. He was up a couple of times during the night crying with his ear. This morning he got up ready for school and nothing seemed to hurt. Ross and I decided it was his allergies with this crazy Texas weather. Plus ya'll that know me, my allergies are so bad that I take shots. Unfortunately, Ethan has my allergies so his ears must have been draining which makes the ears hurt. But with a little help from prescribed Zyrtec, he'll be good to go.

Lahna has turned a new milestone...she started sleeping in her own room last night. Perfect night of all nights with Ethan, but it turned out ok with her. She is growing so much everyday and we are blessed to have our complete family even with our nutty and spoiled dog, Lucy!

  1. Glad you think it is only allergies for Ethan! That is exciting, but sad about Lahna getting old enough to sleep in her room! Keep us posted!
