Valentine's weekend, Ross and I got a treat. Ross's parents came for the weekend and we actually got to go somewhere away for once. We went to the Fort Worth Stockyards. We had never been so we decided to go and it was a BLAST!

We walked around to check out all the shopping areas to see what they had there. They have some really neat shops.

Everyone was starting to line up for the daily longhorn cattle drive. If you haven't had the chance to see that, I highly recommend you see that. It was really neat!

Here are the cowboys getting ready for the drive.

Here comes the longhorns!

These longhorns were just amazing. They just walked down the street like nothing...no fences or anything. The lead longhorn is in front with a bell around his neck. He just walked along looking left then right and back.

They had a good group of longhorns. The horns were just plain huge-no wonder their heads hang low.

Cowboys would walk along the sides just to make sure there weren't any strays.

This happens twice daily from what we understand and look at all the people who come out of the woodwork to see these longhorns. The streets were packed!!

This is the coliseum where they have rodeos Friday and Saturday nights.

This is the other way down the street where the restaurants, bars, and shops are located.

Of course I had to add the picture of the infamous Billy Bob's! Daryl McClinton played the night we were there, we really didn't know who he was, but there was a pretty good crowd. If you haven't been in there, that is definitely an amazing place to check out. They have all kinds of stuff to do in there like bull riding, casinos (more like slots), arcade, dancing, gift shop, restaurant, & you can even take a picture on a fake bull! It was a great weekend to get away and everyone had a great time!
